A school in LS14 is seeking an Upper Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant with classroom experience to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is eager to contribute to the development and learning of children in their upper key stage 2 years.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the delivery of classroom activities and learning experiences under the direction of the class teacher.
- Support individual pupils or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.
- Prepare classroom resources and set up equipment as required for lessons.
- Help manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises.
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Assist with the supervision of pupils during break times and extracurricular activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within Upper Key Stage 2.
- Strong understanding of classroom duties and pupil interaction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
