Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with an organisation based in Abingdon to recruit a Financial Accountant. The Financial Accountant will receive a salary of up to £50,000 along with other attractive benefits including hybrid remote working!
This is a technical accounting role that can offer progression to the right candidate!
Primary responsibilities;
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies.
- Manage accruals and prepayments, ensuring proper accounting treatment and timely recognition.
- Reconcile company credit card transactions and travel expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including adjustments and corrections as needed.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all relevant entries are recorded accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports by providing accurate data and analysis.
- Monitor and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial data.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
Key experience and attributes;
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and related processes.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP, IFRS).
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with experience in financial reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
