Our Domestic Abuse Team has offered support to victims and survivors of domestic abuse since 2017. Its offering includes the provision of a holistic assessment, safety and support planning, 1:1 casework sessions, housing advice, and housing support.

We are now looking for a Domestic Abuse Outreach and Resettlement Worker to deliver our first domestic abuse service in Liverpool on a part-time basis, working 22.2 hours per week, for a fixed-term contract until July 2025.

The Role

As a Domestic Abuse Outreach and Resettlement Worker, you will deliver our domestic abuse support services to individuals across Liverpool.

Setting up the service, you will be involved in all aspects of delivery, from developing and implementing referral systems, to building partnerships, and delivering specialised training.

You will develop and manage new referral pathways for community members within the catchment area, ensuring all new referrals are monitored, responded to, and tracked effectively.

Identifying and cultivating relationships with new partners and commissioners, you will also devise a communication strategy to raise awareness of the service, increasing community engagement and knowledge about the programme.

Additionally, you will:

- Provide advice, support, and signposting to survivors of domestic abuse
- Evaluate and enhance existing services, identifying gaps and developing solutions
- Review, design, and deliver a new training package on LGBTQ+ domestic abuse awareness
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders

About You

To be considered as a Domestic Abuse Outreach and Resettlement Worker, you will need:

- Experience of working in a Domestic Abuse and/or Sexual Violence service or a similar role
- Experience of working in partnership with a range of service providers
- Experience of delivering group work
- Experience of assessing needs and risks
- Experience of working with those in crisis
- Experience of communication with commissioners and writing reports
