Bridging Underwriter | London | Competitive Salary

Valued for its market-leading products, personal approach and fast service, our client provides specialist property loans of up to £5million+ secured against properties across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Experience required:
- You will have prior experience in loan underwriting within bridging or development finance.
- You'll have the ability to build great rapport and establish strong working relationships with colleagues / brokers / solicitors / customers.
- Strong communication skills are a must as you'll be required to give credible reasoning for considering / declining deals.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel & IT literate with a good ability to adapt to new systems and platforms.
The Bridging Underwriter will be responsible for:
- Reviewing funding applications and proceed through the underwriting process to loan completion.
- Carry out credit / fraud checks.
- Instruct valuation reports / solicitors.
- Administer live cases through to redemption of the loan.
- Liaise with lawyers, surveyors, brokers and borrowers to ensure the loan and due diligence process progresses smoothly.
- Conduct post-completion communication with borrowers to ensure their project is progressing satisfactorily.
Working closely with the Head of Underwriting you will have clear guidance & objectives to progress in your career within underwriting and become a trusted relationship manager within your network.
