Job title: Procurement Manager (Software)

Location: Welwyn Garden City or London

Duration: 6 months initially

The role:

To manage the strategic development, planning and sourcing for assigned sub-categories, that drives value for money and efficiencies throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong awareness of the IT Software supply market with procurement knowledge across Functional / Digital Applications
  • Previous IT Software strategic sourcing & category management experience
  • Through influence and challenge develop strong working relationships with stakeholders to support, endorse and deliver subcategory plans aligned to category.
  • procurement strategies to realise business savings and support innovation.
  • Build and deliver subcategory plans aligned to Category Plans by being innovative and collaborative with various cross functional stakeholders.
  • Actively minimise revenue and capital costs through improved use of tools, processes, and application of best practice. This will be achieved through a combination of
  • influencing stakeholders and robust planning
  • Consistently track and report on savings targets for specified sub-categories using the agreed process.
  • Using sound judgement build new and develop existing supplier relationships to ensure continued suitability and create greater value across the organisation.
  • Support the business to achieving compliance with legal, ethical and safety procurement policies with integrity and good judgment.
  • Develop and lead a high performing team enabling them to reach their potential to deliver a world class procurement function.

  • CIPS qualified at level 4 (diploma) or equivalent.
