We are currently working in partnership with a notable Housing Associstion who are recruiting for a Finance Assistant (Service Charge) on a 18 month fixed term contract.
The position is due to start (subject to notice) in June / July 2024 and the salary per annum is £24,595.
The ideal candidate will be looking to kick start their career in a finance / service charge-based role.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Creating and maintaining property records within the property database, ensuring accuracy at all times
- Highlighting errors within the property database to the relevant departments for correction
- Adding, removing and amending of charges on tenancies when required
- Assisting with rent and service charge calculations.
- Matching, batching and coding invoices onto the accounting system
- Entering and processing data from invoices and other sources onto our accounting software
- Providing a frontline response to customers in matters relating to rent enquiries and service charges including telephone calls, corresponding with residents and attending resident's meetings where required
- Monitoring the finance inbox, responding to queries as and when needed
Experience required:
- Ability to prioritise a work load - desirable
- Beginner excel competencies
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Must be organised and self sufficient
- Ideally will be a finance graduate / apprentice looking for a entry level role

Working hours:
- 37 hours per week
- Monday - Friday
- 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Core hours: 10:00am - 4:00pm
