This role is a bank contract to provide staff cover and support when required.

About the Team LIFE is an education provision located in the heart of Frimley Green, Surrey. We provide vital support to 16 to 19-year-old students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The majority of our students hold an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP). While they may have faced challenges in mainstream, SEMH Special, and/or Short Stay Schools, they truly thrive in our highly flexible and inclusive environment.

As an Assistant Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to use your knowledge, skills, and experience to support our young people on their educational journey.

You will work closely with the team to provide dedicated support to our students, both individually and in small groups, throughout their day at LIFE. This encompasses formal education sessions, breaks and lunchtime activities. Additionally, you will play an essential role in delivering life skills and needs-based workshops that empower our young learners to unlock their full potential, enhance their skills, ignite their passion for learning and ultimately pave the way for their progress.

Shortlisting Criteria

To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • GCSE's in English and Maths
  • Experience of working with young people with in a formal or informal learning environment
  • Experience of working with people with SEMH Needs

This is a rolling advert with shortlisting and interviewing taking place on a regular basis.
