Our busy roofing supplies company is seeking a dedicated driver to join our team based in Wokingham, Berkshire. If you have a crane licence, it's a plus, but not essential.
You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of roofing materials to sites and customer addresses across the home counties. Most items are unloaded by crane or forklift, but some heavy lifting will be required handling a variety of roofing and associated construction materials which is physically demanding.
You will also need to be flexible in your approach and willing to help out in other areas of the business as and when required, typically this will be in the warehouse.
The Company's normal hours of trading are from 6:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday and 7.30am to 11am on Saturday [Saturday working by rota]. The Wokingham branch of the Company is based in a rural location without public transport links so you will need your own transport to commute to and from work. This is a full-time permanent position and a great opportunity to establish your career within a roofing supplies environment.

Your Day-to-Day Duties will include:
- Loading and unloading vehicle by crane, forklift or by hand
- Dealing with customers
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the vehicle both inside and out

Skills:
- Valid HGV Class C licence
- CPC
- Digi Tacho Card
- Crane Licence (preferred but not essential - training will be provided)
- A flexible approach to work with a customer focused attitude
- Sound Numeracy and Literacy skills
- Team Player
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck experience (not essential)
