Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 (DOE)
Location: Home-based with regional travel in Orpington and South London

About the Role:
As an Electrical Training Officer, you will deliver high-quality assessments and support to apprentices, working closely with employers and education providers to guide apprentices through their journey. You'll manage a caseload of apprentices, ensuring they are on the right path, meeting training objectives, and progressing towards their qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and place new apprentices, ensuring employers understand the required assessment standards.
- Promote career opportunities in schools and through careers services.
- Conduct apprentice reviews, skills gap analyses, and ensure they are placed on the correct pathway.
- Complete pre-placement vetting of employers in line with company policies.
- Follow safeguarding and Prevent policies, ensuring any concerns are reported.
- Assess apprentice evidence in line with National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Awarding Organisation guidelines.
- Provide feedback, set SMART targets, and support apprentices in achieving learning objectives.
- Prepare apprentices for their End Point Assessment (EPA) and confirm readiness at gateway.
- Proactively address apprentices at risk of non-completion by arranging interventions.
- Collaborate with external parties, promote services, and maintain Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to stay aligned with industry standards.
Person Specification:
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation.
- Current IET wiring regulations (18th Edition) or willingness to upskill.
- GCSE English & Maths (Grades A-C or equivalent).
- Verifiable industry experience as a qualified electrician.
Desirable:
- Health & Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely).
- Assessor qualifications (D32, D33, A1, or TAQA).
- 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of building services engineering and related industries.
