Harmonic Finance are delighted to be working with a prestigious Theatre company to support their search for a part-time Production Accountant. This position offers a 22.5-hour work week with flexible scheduling to accommodate the successful candidate's needs.

The Role

This position is a new role within the team as their company anticipate an incredibly successful upcoming tour in 2024-2025. With an expanding finance team and strong revenue stream, the Production Accountant will report into the Head of Finance for an initial 10 months, with extension thereafter.

As Production Accountant, you will provide financial guidance across the business on production budgets, cashflows, and forecasts. Aside from reviewing TTR to comply with the audit and claims process, you shall create cost analysis reports, investment reports, and recoupment schedules. You shall be the point of contact between the Production team and the finance team as you share updates at a senior level. You will have some Production Accountant experience and be ready to get stuck in.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the financial accounts for stage productions
  • Creating cost analysis reports for productions
  • Reviewing productions budgets and forecasts
  • Updating cashflow forecasts
  • Reviewing Theatre Tax Relief (TTR) for audit and claims
  • Preparing investment reports and recoupment schedules
  • Supporting the Head of Finance on ad hoc projects

What we need to see (essential):

  • 2+ years Production Accountant Experience
  • Background in performing arts/theatre/music etc.
  • Experience working with TTR
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Brilliant communication skills and self-motivated

What we need to see (bonus):

  • Sage50 Proficiency

Location: London (Hybrid - 1 day in office)

Day Rate: £140-£180 per day
