Operations Manager

Crown Worldwide Group are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join their fast-paced Records Management Operations team.
Where you will be based
This role will be Manchester based with regular travel to our Records Management sites based in the North region and requirement to attend our Enfield offices from time to time.

What is an Operations Manager to us? You will be a regional budget holder and P&L performance manager with overall control of resources and delivering on Crown's Purpose. Responsible for service quality and achieving site performance targets. Plan and coordinate the timely completion of business as usual operational activities, utilising local site Team Leaders/Supervisors; ensuring that correct levels of competant and trained manpower resource are available every day.

What you will do

  • Management responsibility for all branches across your region, for all areas including day-to-day service delivery; financial performance (P&L); the facility (including warehouse, office space, and yard space); personnel.
  • Reporting to the Head of Operations UKI, you will work to deliver solutions to exceed client expectations.
  • To deputise for the Head of Operations UKI in periods of absence and/or secondment as, or if, required,
  • To ensure service levels are maintained and developed in-line with demand.
  • To ensure that the operation consistently meets all financial targets and operational KPI's set by the business,
  • To ensure the smooth and efficient integration of new operations, systems, and processes,
  • Maintain a safe working environment for everyone and be compliant with Health & Safety legislation within the Operational centre ensuring the site operates both legally and safely at all times
  • To ensure all processes, procedures and audits comply with Crown RM and it's ISO 9001: 2008 standards.
  • Ensure that the site complies with all other company standards (ISO9001: ISO14001: ISO18001: ISO27001) and any other 'future standards' that the company requires to implement.
  • Support procurement in managing contractors / suppliers, making sure that their performance meets Crowns expected standard and that there is no adverse impact on our business, whilst engaging with internal Procurement team

Work with the Sales and Account Management teams to provide Customer interactions and join them in meeting as and when necessary.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have experience managing a team within a warehouse/logistical background with desirable knowledge of a trading statement and deliver against numbers. Well developed administration and organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
