Description
The Logistics Coordinator will have the below duties and responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
- Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
- Utilise logistics IT to optimise procedures
- Coordinate delivery schedules to maximise productivity and cut costs
- Monitor and report on transportation costs
- Ensure shipping documents are in order
- Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
- Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation
Profile
A successful Logistics Coordinator should have the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in logistics coordination within a busy distribution operation
- Excellent knowledge of logistics software and other IT packages such as Excel
- Strong coordination and project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- A keen eye for detail
