Our client is a leading player in the FMCG industry with a workforce exceeding 1000 employees. Based in Oxford, this company is renowned for its high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

This Logistics Coordinator role is a 6 month fixed term contract role and hybrid (1-2 days in the office a week) which offers an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-paced environment of FMCG industry in Oxford. The role involves coordinating logistics operations, ensuring efficient delivery of goods to customers

Description

The Logistics Coordinator will have the below duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
  • Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
  • Utilise logistics IT to optimise procedures
  • Coordinate delivery schedules to maximise productivity and cut costs
  • Monitor and report on transportation costs
  • Ensure shipping documents are in order
  • Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation

Profile

A successful Logistics Coordinator should have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination within a busy distribution operation
  • Excellent knowledge of logistics software and other IT packages such as Excel
  • Strong coordination and project management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • A keen eye for detail
