We are looking for a skilled Transport Refrigeration Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial for the servicing and maintenance of our client's refrigeration systems, ensuring the highest standards of reliability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven background within the refrigeration sector and experience with transport refrigeration systems.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Perform scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on transport refrigeration equipment systems and plant.
  • Conduct fault finding, breakdowns, and servicing of various types of transport refrigeration systems.
  • Maintain and service refrigeration, hydrocarbons, and secondary systems.
  • Complete routine servicing and repairs, mechanical fault finding, and electrics.
  • Adhere to company and manufacturer standards within agreed time constraints.
  • Record equipment history on engineering computer systems and complete quality documentation as required.
  • Achieve consistently high customer satisfaction and repeat business through high-quality work.
  • Maintain stock levels on the van to agreed specifications.
  • Prioritise and organise workload to meet deadlines and KPIs.
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients and provide detailed handovers to engineering colleagues.
  • Follow procedures, Health and Safety requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to maintain compliance.
  • Manage to client's strict health and safety policies and site procedures.
  • Carry out process improvements independently or as part of a team to improve equipment reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • FGAS Refrigerant Handling (City & Guilds 2079) - Essential
  • NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds Refrigeration & Air Conditioning - Desirable
  • Proven background within the Refrigeration sector - Essential
  • At least 2 years' experience of transport refrigeration - Essential
  • Experience with different compressor technologies - Essential
  • IT literate with good Microsoft Office skills (Word / Excel / Outlook) - Desirable
  • Advanced organisational skills, time management and result-oriented - Essential
  • A full driving licence - Essential
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships - Desirable
  • Excellent spoken and written English - Essential
  • Good communication skills (written and oral) - Essential
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated team player - Essential
  • Work to high levels of efficiency and productivity independently and as part of a team - Essential
