The Reading School has an excellent attendance record, especially Year 4 leading the way! Many of the students are performing above the national average, last year 80% of the KS2 SATs students achieved the expected results or above, vs the 72.6% national average.

As a Year 4 Primary Teacher at this Reading Primary School, your day will be varied and interesting you will be able to follow a flexible structure whilst supporting the KS2 children and young people by providing KS2 curriculum educational frameworks that is suited for the Reading students.

This is a full-time contract, starting in September 2024.

  • Location - Reading - 6 minimum walk to Reading Train station

Position - Year 4 Primary Teacher

  • Start date - September.
  • Days per week: 5
  • Contract type - Contract - subject to extending.
  • Minimum rate of pay - £25,350 upwards.
  • Hours - 8:00am - 4:00pm

Experience/Training for the Year 4 Primary Teacher role:

  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a UK school.
  • Experience working with KS1 or KS2
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training for this can be provided)
  • NQTs and ECTs welcome - the Reading schools loves new and exciting approach to educating their Year 4 students.

Eligibility for the Year 4 Primary Teacher vacancy :

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
