Operations Insight Lead Analyst

Location: Flexible hybrid working

Role Purpose:

As an Operations Insight Lead Analyst within the Operations Insight team, you will be working in an exciting, diverse and changeable environment. You will be a valued member of the team and be expected to deliver high quality management information, analysis and insight to drive decision making in the Operations divisions. You will lead the team from a technical data aspect and support with training and development of Analysts. You will collate data from a variety of sources including that provided by our central MI team, auxiliary systems and our suppliers to create holistic views of business performance. You will work closely with key stakeholders across Broker Services, Customer & Third Party Claims, Counter Fraud, Continuous Improvement and MI.

Responsibilities:

  • To lead the development and maintenance of accurate management information and provide business insights in a clear and concise manner
  • Engagement with key stakeholders to understand their challenges, needs and how analytics can drive operational improvement through smarter data driven decisions
  • To work with all areas of the function to provide MI, analysis and recommendations that articulate key measures, risks and improvement opportunities
  • Support with the embedding of a data culture, tracking of MI accuracy and measuring the effectiveness of actions taken
  • Ability to prioritize own workloads and adapt when the landscape changes
  • For maintaining standards around the use and access to data, ensuring policies and procedures are applied and data governance is adhered to
  • Support the technical development of the team with their data skills and ensuring that best practice is adhered to

  • Excellent analytical and data governance skills
  • Ability to solve complex data problems using analytics to deliver practical and compliant insights and recommendations, within a fast paced environment
  • Stakeholder management and the ability to prioritize requirements
  • Financial and Insurance services experience with business knowledge
  • Be someone that can coach business SMEs as the team grows across the function
  • Own key strategic data and systems projects

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Highly competent at presenting MI using variety of MS products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience of using SAS products for dealing with complex data sets / large sets of data
  • Extensive experience of using of other reporting software, SQL, Dev ops and cloud platforms Azure / SAS Viya
  • Extensive experience of using Azure Data Bricks
  • SQL Data Warehouse /Database PaaS
  • GDPR and data governance
  • Academic qualification relating to advanced analytics or statistical modelling
