QTS Secondary Teacher (SEND and Behaviour Support)

Are you an experienced and dedicated secondary teacher with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and managing behaviour issues?

We are seeking a qualified QTS Secondary Teacher to join our team in providing high-quality education and support to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

SEND Support:

  • Develop and implement tailored teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEND.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff to create Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and assess the progress of students with SEND, making necessary adjustments to teaching methods.
  • Behaviour Management:
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Address behavioural issues promptly and constructively, working closely with parents and guardians.
  • Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages respect and positive interactions.

Teaching:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the secondary curriculum.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and record students' progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
  • General Duties:
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and coordinate school activities.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certificate.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Proven experience working with SEND students and managing behaviour issues in a UK secondary school.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
