This role is working for a Global Engineering company within the food and beverage sector. This role would be mainly office based in Runcorn.
Description
- In this role you will be working on software which connect to hardware
- The software you are working on tells the device / machine what to do and you work on both parts
- The software links to packaging lines, labellers, xray machines, metal detectors, wrappers, packaging machines etc
- You will be testing software to a device / small piece of equipment
- Contribute to the next generation of core products
- Focus on enabling the driver development process, from communication with the manufacturer and specification of the driver's behaviour down to testing device driver, documentation and troubleshooting
Profile
Must haves:
- Testers on BOTH Software AND Hardware
Nice to haves:
- Degree or background in Electronics, electrical, mechatronics, robotics, engineering
Knowledge of:
- Drivers
- Signals
- Comms
- Industrial protocol
- HEX
- Device protocol
- External comms interface
