At AX, we are looking to introduce a Drafting Claims Handlers to our Litigation team. The focus will be to prepare and progress, legal documentation to help with the successful settlement of motor claims through the litigation process, ensuring effective prompt settlement and recovery of outstanding debt.
You may have been a legal secretary looking to change perspective or a recent Law graduate wanting to gain further experience within Litigation, equally, if you are great at organising, superb with administration and love the detail in data (accuracy is key in this role), we would love to hear from you!

As a Drafting Claims Handler your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of allocated files (claim portfolio) supporting prompt and commercial resolution of debt recovery
- Researching information and preparing legal documentation pertaining to the recovery of motor claims. This will include preparing accurate client statements and all supporting information to achieve successful litigation
- Responding and complying to all court and third parties timescales associated to the recovery of motor claims
- Looking to negotiate settlement of motor claims where possible to avoid court action being taken within predefined authorisation levels
- Providing legal advice to clients; corresponding with them and explaining complex issues relating to the claims process
Our Drafting Claims Handler will bring the following skills and experiences to our team:
- Demonstrable experience and an understanding of litigation, court proceedings and CPR rules
- Experience within the credit hire / insurance industry would be beneficial but not essential
- Proven judgment and decision-making skills including problem solving
- Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness
- Attention to detail and accuracy of recording data and detail
- Demonstrable experience of achieving against targets
- IT Literate, demonstrable experience of using in house computer systems
