We have a fantastic opportunity for an Administrator at Rochdale Council. This is a full-time temporary role for the next 5 months, with the possibility of extension.

What is the role?

  • Rochdale Council are looking for an Administrator, to provide efficient and effective financial and other business support and advice to Adult Care Services and stakeholders on all aspects of the work of the team.

What are your responsibilities?

  • To operate and maintain efficient and effective financial administrative systems for all aspects of the work of the team.
  • Provide support to ensure that Adult Care systems are used appropriately, in line with statutory guidelines and local policies and procedures.
  • Accurately maintain systems and retrieve and collate relevant information from a variety of sources to support the work of the team.
  • Undertake checks, reconciliations and analysis of information and liaise with colleagues in respect of any exceptions.
  • Manage meetings, forums and training sessions; including scheduling, agenda preparation, invites, accurate and timely minute taking and following up / monitoring any actions required.
  • Respond pro-actively to requests for advice, guidance and support in an efficient, effective and timely manner, with minimum recourse to supervisors
  • Ensure that payments are made in accordance with relevant policies and procedures and to resolve queries.
  • To calculate, check and raise debtor accounts as required.
  • Undertake data checks to provide information about data compliance
  • Take an active role in team meetings and team building exercises to promote good communications.
  • Organise and prioritise own workload to ensure that deadlines are achieved, and core services maintained.

What skills do you Need?

  • Must have previous Administration / Business Support Officer experience, ideally with financial knowledge as well.
  • Excellent people skills, as you will be speaking to the public / clients, and other members of staff including managers.
  • Very Strong IT skills, as you will be using Microsoft office and other internal IT Systems.
  • Will require excellent telephone manner
