Accounts Support Administrator - Independent Financial Advisors

Our client, a leading firm of Independent Financial Advisors offering impartial advice on financial matters, tailored to their client's needs, are looking to bring an Accounts Support Administrator to their team.

This unique position of Accounts Support Administrator, the ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties. Besides the traditional tasks of handling payroll, bookkeeping, income and expenses, the Accounts Admin will also be responsible for property/office related issues such as fire alarm/PAT testing, and other ad hoc duties as and when required

Accounts Support Administrator - Independent Financial Advisors

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Finance department
  • Reconciliation of Commission and Fee Statements on our Income Management system
  • Maintaining and reconciling Excel cashbooks
  • Bookkeeping - Sage
  • Cross-referencing Sage with our Income Management system
  • Maintaining Aged Debt and tracking progress of payments from providers
  • Carrying out data checks
  • Working to tight deadlines
  • Accurately updating and maintaining information on back-office systems, including policy valuation data
  • Communicating with different teams within the practice

Additional responsibilities:

  • Responsible for property/office related issues
  • Fire alarm testing, annual PAT testing
  • Maintaining the Team's diary system
  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required

Requirements:

  • Experience within an IFA firm - Desirable
  • A knowledge of bookkeeping - Desirable
  • Experience with Sage and reconciliation - Desirable
  • An understanding of internal cashflow - Desirable
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work as part of a team
