We are working with a fantastic Charity in London that are looking to add an ambitious Management Accountant to their team.
The Management Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management reporting and the production of a comprehensive monthly pack for business leaders. This role will involve analysing actuals against budget and forecast and providing detailed commentaries on variances.
The Management Accountant will also be instrumental in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, provide month-end close support, and train colleagues on month end procedures.

Assignment Details
Reporting directly to the Cost Manager, this role will also support ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives as directed by the Financial Controller and Cost Manager and play a key role during the Annual Audit process.
Monthly Management Reporting:
- Preparing and producing a detailed monthly management pack for business leaders.
- Comparing actual results with budget and forecast, identifying and explaining variances.
- Developing insightful commentary on financial performance for senior management
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Participating in the quarterly forecasting process.
- Providing analysis and inputting to improve forecasting accuracy
Month-End Close Support:
- Supporting the accounting team during the month-end close process.
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assisting in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
Training and Development:
- Training colleagues on various month-end procedures, especially on the GP system.
- Developing and delivering training materials and sessions where necessary.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Working with Cost Manager to report on financial performance and key metrics for the management packs (KPI). Maintaining, developing and improving it.
- Developing new initiatives to improve the management reporting process.
- Enhancing the quality and relevance of management reports
Ad-Hoc Projects:
- Undertaking ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Financial Controller and Cost Manager.
- Providing financial analysis and insights for special projects e.g. Charge back refund process initiative
Annual Audit Support:
- Providing necessary support during the Annual Audit process to finance Team
Strategic Initiatives:
- Working on strategic initiatives for the Finance Team, focusing on process improvements.
- Identifying and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA, CIMA , Part Qualified or AAT equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
