Managing Co-Ordinator - Counselling

We are looking for a pro active leader to join our team as Managing Co Ordinator for our Scotland wide counselling services. As Managing Co Ordinator you will take responsibility for the management and development of your allocated counselling service areas. You will inspire your teams to deliver high quality, ethical and respected therapeutic services in line with professional standards and ensure that CrossReach's aims, objectives and standards are met and maintained.

Reporting to our Head Of Service Counselling, and working in partnership with the other Managing Co Ordinator, you will provide the necessary operational leadership to create the environment and culture where operational teams deliver and evolve effective, high-quality therapeutic services to meet client needs. You will drive and support a culture where clients and teams are consulted, recognised and respected.

You don't need to be a qualified therapist to be considered for this role but if you are we offer the opportunity for you to maintain a small client caseload to maintain your professional skills, using these to provide effective supervision and act as the point of clinical escalation for the region.

What you do need is brilliant people management skills and a strong track record of managing and developing services. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence others. A robust understanding of finance is also important so you can work to ensure that Services are delivered in line with, or exceed, predicted financial performance and that we can capitalise on income generation opportunities to achieve sustainable Services.

You will work to ensure continuity across counselling services and deputise for the Head of Service where appropriate.

Due to the geographic spread of the role, there is flexibility on the base location. We are also able to offer a degree of flexibility in terms of working hours and the option to work part of your week from home.
