Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position has been created to provide support with the day to day finances and will have involvement with both the company & production accounts allowing for a varied and interesting role.
As you settle into the position there is the potential for the role to expand, taking on more responsibility whilst also being mentored by the FD to further developing your skillset and grow in your accounting career.
Working within a small and close knit team the role requires an individual with previous accounting skills who wants to work within a creative environment. Previous experience of working within a TV or Media company is desirable but a genuine interest in the industry is needed!
You will need to be a friendly and approachable person who enjoys interacting with others and has a natural confidence when engaging with people.

Responsibilities of the role include:
- Assist with the month end reporting including reconciliations and postings
- Maintain and reconcile the purchase and sales ledgers
- Weekly bank reconciliations and assist with processing payment runs
- VAT Reconciliations
- Manage the company expenses including credit card and pre-paid cards, reconciling to monthly statements
- Assist with the production finance, including posting and reconciliation of costs, petty cash (there may be requirement to be on set during filing)
- Assist with the year end accounting, supporting the FC during the audit process
- Raise sales invoices
- Assist with the resolution of finance related queries
Candidate requirements:
- Previous accounts experience, at least 2 years + with a good knowledge of debits & credits
- Experience gained within a TV, media or similar creative company highly desirable
- Exception communication & interpersonal skills
- Ideally studying early stages of an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) is desirable
- Good Excel skills
- Highly motivated, 'can-do' attitude and organised
- Logical, good attention to detail and able to take direction yet think on your feet
- Great team player!
