Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for Security Officer to join our passionate and driven team based at our client's site in Butchers Race, Spennymoor, County Durham

This is a part time role for Saturday and Sunday day shift cover. You will undertake general gatehouse security duties, patrol the site and liaise with clients and visitors as required. You will be working by yourself. Ideal applicant needs to be confident both whilst lone working and completing necessary paperwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide gatehouse cover in accordance with the contract, receiving visitors, staff, and the public.
  • To handle customer enquiries made both over the telephone and in person, and route them accordingly.
  • To present a professional and polite image to all customers, both staff and visitors.
  • To prepare and issue visitor passes and maintain records in accordance with company procedures.
  • To adhere to all security guidelines for the permission for access to site.
  • To promote and uphold the principles of security in accordance with the policies and directive.
  • To adhere to the company's dress code and wear correct uniform.
  • To fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the company's health and safety policy and health and safety management plans.
  • To comply with the company's policies, management plans and procedures.
  • To report, and record observations, undertake regular patrols and be a point of escalation to assist with any incidents.
  • To complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Previous experience in security role
  • Ability to work by yourself and complete necessary paperwork
  • Have excellent verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.
  • Good level of computer literacy
  • You need to be well presented, punctual and focused on attention to detail.
  • A Criminal Record Check, employment history and Counter Terrorism Check.
  • SIA Licence
