Southfield Engineering & Calibration Services Ltd is a family run business that was established in January 2002. Based in Nottinghamshire we are a leading name for Electrical Testing and Tool Calibration services, supporting clients operating in many types of industries throughout the U.K.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, hardworking, and skilled Electrician/Test & Inspection Engineer, to join our electrical team.
Ideal Candidate:
- You must be qualified to at least C&G 2382 (18th Edition), C&G 2391/2395 (or equivalent) and have at least 2 years of commercial electrical testing experience.
- Knowledge of electrical testing software (Easycert/Amtech) would be extremely advantageous.
- Other desired (but not essential) qualifications/skills are, C&G 2377 (PAT testing) (or equivalent), IT literate (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.), Fire alarm/Emergency lighting testing experience and excellent communication skills.
- Full driving licence
The Role
The role will involve driving to sites and offices around the country diligently EICR Testing electrical installations in commercial establishments whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service. The role will also include electrical remedial work and assisting our fire alarm engineers as and when required.
The position mostly requires working away from home (usually up to 3 nights per week), however we do have local work to. Overnight accommodation is pre booked and paid for. When working away a £25.00 evening meal and breakfast allowance each night can be claimed (un- receipted). In addition to this a £15.00 overnight allowance is paid for each night away. On the rare occasion when a fourth night is required this allowance increases to £25.00.
