Cedar have exclusively partnered with a leading venture capital organisation who are looking to hire an ambitious and enthusiastic Finance Analyst to focus on portfolios and investment analysis.
The successful Finance Analyst will have exceptional communication skills, a strong analytical background, and experience in financial analysis and reporting. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Analyst will analyse and report portfolio performance, valuations, business metrics, and more. This dynamic role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with evolving responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis to support Finance, Portfolio, and Investor Relations teams.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimise investment strategies.
- Develop spreadsheets, scenarios, and projections for portfolio valuations and project performance.
- Analyse trends, performance metrics, and financial ratios to identify improvement opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with business units to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Monitor financial performance against benchmarks and perform ad hoc competitor analysis.
- Prepare presentations for ad hoc projects and document best practices and new processes.
Candidate Profile
- Excellent CRM experience
- Enjoys a complex role requiring both analytical and operational thinking.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of investment practices.
- Experience in similar roles.
