Job Opportunity: Catastrophe/Exposure Analyst - Graduate Role
Do you have a passion for data, natural hazards, and risk management? Our client is seeking a graduate Catastrophe/Exposure Analyst, supporting the future of exposure analysis in property insurance.
In this role, you'll provide essential exposure analysis and pricing information to guide underwriting and strategic decisions. Working closely with the Property Insurance team, you'll play a critical part in supporting the Exposure Management team by producing consolidated exposure reports and helping enhance our syndicate's risk capabilities. Reporting to the Catastrophe Modelling Manager, you'll be instrumental in managing risks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Coordination: Oversee exposure data and results through Touchstone, ensuring precision. Support outsourcing partners in data cleansing.
- Catastrophe Analysis: Conduct daily catastrophe analysis for pricing and support Property underwriters with risk assessments.
- Workflow Optimization: Assist in refining the modelling workflow and developing efficient reporting for underwriters and management.
- External Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for outsourcers, brokers, and software providers on data requests and queries.
- Compliance: Adhere to PRA/FCA's Conduct Standards, upholding integrity and cooperation with regulatory bodies.
Candidate Profile:
We're looking for candidates with a degree in Geography/Physical hazards and a desire to develop a career in Catastrophe Risk & Exposure Management. Experience using MS Excel, and ideally SQL or equivalent experience. Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools is advantageous.
