Test Analyst

The Company

Delighted to be working with a well established software company that provides cloud-based solutions to support critical services used across the UK. They offer specialist solutions used in a range of disciplines, with full product lifecycle managed in-house.

The Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our QA team and directly contribute to the success of our systems. You'll be responsible for developing test cases, scripts, and data to rigorously assess the software before the product is released to the client.

What you'll do:

  • Design and develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts to cover all functionalities.
  • Create realistic test data to simulate real-world scenarios.
  • Mainly working through manual testing you will ensure thorough system evaluation.
  • Uphold established testing processes within your team and assigned projects.
  • Maintain clear and consistent daily execution reports.
  • Provide accurate and well-justified test estimates upon request.

The Person

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Software Test Analyst, Tester, or Test Engineer
  • You possess a passion for technology and a strong desire to learn new testing methods and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • You can effectively prioritize tasks and manage your time to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with relational databases, including SQL Server and writing SQL queries, is a plus.
  • Although primarily a manual testing environment experience with automation and performance testing tools is highly desirable. Familiarity with DevOps, NeoLoad, Postman, and SoapUI is a benefit.
  • Experience with UNIX-based systems is a plus.
  • Prior experience or an interest in writing code using C#, Python, or Java is a positive.
  • Holding an ITSQB or ISEB certification is a valued bonus.

This is a permanent position and will require candidates to be office based for 2 days per week. You should be currently based in the North East and have a valid right to work in the UK, unfortunately this client are not able to provide visa sponsorship.
