Principal Sourcing Manager

Seeking all Public Sector Sourcing Managers who are on the lookout for a new, fresh, and exciting role!

As a Principal Sourcing Manager, you will make sure that the solutions, such as framework agreements, that are delivered by Procurement Solutions category management teams are procured through a highly efficient and effective sourcing process. You will lead the design, build and operation of the end-to-end procurement sourcing events through the e-procurement platform (SAP Ariba) deploying all functionality appropriately.

This role predominantly home based, with travel to one of our offices based in either Salford, Leeds, or London once a month.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support with the planning, construction, and operation phases of the SAP Ariba system and show strength with all relevant functionalities within SAP Ariba.
  • Improve and integrate the standard processes in sourcing methodologies.
  • Lead on all aspects of a team of individuals on sourcing operational tasks.
  • Streamline the procurement timelines for increased efficiency.
  • Refine and coordinate the Sourcing/Category Team RACI matrix, clarifying roles, responsibilities, handover procedures, and collaborative efforts between teams.
  • Stay abreast of relevant regulations, policies, and standard methodologies, ensuring compliance in all sourcing activities.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience of working within a public sector procurement.
  • End to end procurement delivery experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Working knowledge of PCR 2015 and understanding of New Procurement Act 2023.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in using strategic sourcing tools such as e-tendering platforms (SAP Ariba/Atamis e.g.).
