I am working exclusively with a manufacturing business based in Somerset in search of a Financial Controller. This is a number two position reporting to the Finance Director and would be well suited to a hands-on "all-rounder" with an eye for detail.

Description
A newly created position designed to oversee the finance function and support the Finance Director with key business decisions.
- Oversee the Month end and Year end process
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
- Manage a team of financial staff to ensure the smooth running of both transactional finance and reporting
- Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
- Manage budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with the law and company's policies
- Engage with senior stakeholders on finance matters
- Implement strategies for financial growth
Profile
A unique opportunity in which this can be a Full time or Part Time Financial Controller depending on experience:
- ACA, CIMA or ACCA Qualified
- Experience in people management
- Strong knowledge of financial control duties including management reporting and financial reporting
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with non finance
- Hands-on attitude and happy to get stuck in to adhoc duties
