Our client are seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal Secretary to join their residential conveyancing team. The successful candidate will provide vital support to Solicitors, ensuring efficient operation of legal services. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in handling various administrative tasks related to conveyancing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide full support to Solicitors to enable efficient operation.
  • Prepare correspondence using our case management system.
  • Attend to clients both on the telephone and in person, maintaining a professional demeanour.
  • Administer filing systems, including daily filing and management of client files.
  • Prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch.
  • Manage diaries and schedules, ensuring appointments are coordinated effectively.
  • Arrange scanning and photocopying of paperwork as required.
  • Audio type from dictation with high accuracy.
  • Handle routine client correspondence and queries promptly and professionally.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed to support the team.

The Person:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following attributes, skills, and experience:

  • Excellent knowledge and experience within residential conveyancing.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and conduct searches & ID checks.
  • High levels of speed and accuracy in audio typing from dictation.
  • Strong telephone manner and comfort communicating with clients.
  • Highly organised, methodical, and adaptable to changing priorities.
