An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Electrical Design Engineer to join my client based in Telford. Our client is a leading supplier and manufacturer of electrical solutions.
The ideal candidate will have ideally come from a manufacturing background and a general hands on attitude toward the job. You will have great interpersonal skills giving you the ability to manage projects independently
Role Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the creation of test plan for the design verification
- Accompany design verification testing and participate in the product validation process
- Use knowledge about Low Voltage Systems to introduce the business in project business activity
- Responsible for electrical network calculation - have an understanding of network topology especially for Low Voltage Systems
- Use CAD tool (Creo 7.0) to model designs
- Apply Design methodologies and follow the FMEA process
Skills and Qualifications
- Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering
- Solid knowledge on applicable standards (like IEC 61439; IEC 62208, British Standard versions)
- Experience with device integration/system design, sheet metal, plastic part design, design of electrical busbar systems, thermal dissipation and sort circuit ratings (advantageous)
- General knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of SAP and PLM tools
- Have a hands-on mentality
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to manage projects independently
- Familiar with CAD tool, ideally Creo 7.0
