IT Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to oversee and manage our internal systems and networks. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who is hands-on and comfortable with both high-level and day-to-day IT operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and functionality of company IT resources, ensuring seamless connectivity and infrastructure performance.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Manage and maintain internal systems, networks, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and printers.
- Ensure system and network security and stability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely manner.
- Provide IT support and guidance to staff.
- Conduct regular system checks and maintenance.
- Travel between two distribution sites as needed, though infrequently to Dorset Business Park.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar IT role.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and protocols.
- Experience with DHCP, VLAN, firewalls, networks, VPN, and printers.
- Familiarity with Office 365 is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Full driving license for necessary travel between sites.
