Job Overview:

Randstad are looking for a seasoned Mechanical Supervisor to join our client who is a leader within the water industry. You'll take charge of ensuring project execution adheres to safety protocols, timelines, and quality benchmarks, all while prioritising customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the coordination and management of operational resources to achieve project objectives safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Direct supervision of subcontractors, offering guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the project lifecycle
  • Task assignment and progress monitoring to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues within the sewage treatment plant, ensuring uninterrupted operations
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment to optimise performance and longevity
  • Collaboration with the Supply Chain to facilitate seamless contractor delivery and commissioning processes

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the water or utility sector, demonstrating a solid track record of project management and supervision
  • Proficiency in managing subcontractors and direct labour in a diverse, multi-trade environment
  • Mechanical qualifications coupled with SSSTS or SMSTS certification to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
