East Sussex - on site (must live near Hastings, East Sussex)
£90-110,000 FTE pro rata for 4 month contract

Grafton Banks Finance is looking for a seasoned Interim Financial Controller to join an established and fast-growing business, with offices near Hastings. The purpose of the assignment is to manage the finance team on an interim basis but offers a significant opportunity to be considered as the permanent Financial Controller. Term = 4 months.
You will be a fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with extensive experience in working for a complex organisation. This is a hands-on role where you will lead a team, oversee transactional finance and manage financial strategy.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Manage a finance team of 10 staff.
- Maintain the systems and processes for producing the management accounts.
- Manage the financial reporting and year end work
- Maintain up to date and meaningful balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.
- Oversee collation of information and creation of monthly results to ensure accurate and detailed information is available for the business management team in a timely fashion.
- Prepare management accounts with commentaries on a monthly basis including underlying performance.
The successful candidate will be:-
- Qualified accountant with 3+ years post qualified experience.
- Experience managing a finance team and the month end closing process within a mid-sized organisation.
- Able to start no later than mid-November and to be present in the office 4-5 days per week
- Can delegate effectively and maintains responsibility for completion of the task.
- Recognises the importance of dealing with issues immediately and doesn't overlook poor standards.
