Our Team

We're seeking a natural born leader who is inspiring, strategic, and collaborative to successfully lead our awesome personal banking product team and oversee first class management of the product suite. You'll play a crucial role in defining the product roadmap to meet customer needs, ensuring compliance with key regulation, reporting, and successfully executing product initiatives at pace whilst achieving financial plan.

What you'll be doing

  • Strong management of the personal product suite and associated calculators across each stage of the lifecycle (launch, in life & exit), ensuring adherence to the Groups Product Governance, Policy Frameworks and Senior Manager Regime
  • Consumer Duty lead, overseeing the completion of personal product reviews, fair value assessments and governance reporting to a high standard with evidence of action being taken where performance does not meet expectations
  • Role modelling excellent leadership behaviours and resulting in efficient collaboration, effective decision-making, and timely delivery across all initiatives
  • Representing the brand of Virgin Money Personal Banking on key industry forums, ensuring views shared on key change and regulation
  • Owning engagement with the Regulators and Virgin Money's three Line of Defence on key risk matters, including timely resolution on issues management
  • Overseeing accurate and timely regulatory reporting: UK Finance / Competition Markets Authority / CASPR / HMT / PARS / PAD / FCA / PAYUK / BCOBS
  • Ownership of key product risks and controls including monitoring
  • Successfully leading execution for Product Regulatory & Mandatory Change in conjunction with Group stakeholders
  • Owning the regulatory and mandatory customer communications strategy, including effective management of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme
  • Establishing, tracking and oversight of KPIs to assess product performance, identifying areas for improvement, and data-driven decisions to improve outcomes (e.g., Complaints, CX, Consumer Duty, Product sales)

We need you to have

  • Significant experience of creating and leading high performing product teams within a Retail Bank
  • A strong technical product background and understanding of financial services
  • Proven ability in executing complex product & regulatory change projects
  • Significant experience in developing and managing products
  • The ability to translate business goals, technology strategy and market knowledge into a product roadmap which prioritises delivery value and enables business agility
  • Passion and experience of growing collaborative, empowered and inclusive teams, nurturing them to take ownership of outcomes
  • Experience of operating at a strategic level with gravitas to engage, challenge influence at Exec level to get the best outcome
