We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at Chase Terrace Academy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive educational environment by ensuring that students remain focused, engaged, and productive during lessons. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classes in the absence of regular teachers, following lesson plans provided, and implementing strategies that support various learning styles. You will have the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to their academic and personal development. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to build rapport with students, and a proactive approach to classroom management. You will also be expected to support the school's vision and values, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of teachers

  • Support students in their learning and ensure they remain on task
  • Monitor student attendance and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Assist with planning and preparing learning materials as needed

Requirements

  • A minimum of a degree or equivalent qualification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively
  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred
  • Proficiency in using technology and educational software
