We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Property Assistant working within our Land and Property (L&P) team on a permanent basis here at our offices based in Leeds.

You will be providing administration duties to deliver the provision of an effective property management service whilst carrying out a support function for the wider business. As well as engaging with a wide range of stakeholders from the Connections team internally amongst others to the general public and with local councils, Highways Agency, Network Rail, private, commercial and agricultural landowners to name but a few.

You will be administering ongoing legal payments via SAP, processing payments, purchase orders and non ordered payments whilst allocating all incoming payments as well.

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include but not be limited to

  • Acquisition of new property rights relating to New Connections, SUO (Stopping up Orders)
  • Assist Connections to meet KPI's with regards to issuing of quotations
  • Maintain and manage job recording application and spreadsheet, providing management information to Land & Property Manager
  • Ensure payments are kept up to date – so agreements are not invalidated
  • Minutes & Actions from L&P team meetings
  • Deed management – Ensure NGN has a compliant deed register with new deeds recorded
  • Provide general land and property advice to various stakeholders

What we are looking for in our Property Assistant

  • A general understanding of Land and Property would be highly advantageous
  • General administration knowledge along with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc
  • Ability to understand legal documentation and legislation documents
  • SAP and accounting processing experience
