Job Title: SENA Service Manager
Location: East Midlands, Local Authority (Leicestershire)
Pay: Up to £425 per day LTD, negotiable with manager.
Job Type: Full-Time, 6 month contract
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic SENA Service Manager to join our team within the East Midlands local authority. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in complex and challenging environments, with extensive experience in assessments and reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong management oversight of the SENA service, ensuring all activities comply with statutory timescales and adhere to the service performance and quality assurance framework.
- Lead the County Council's statutory duty to conduct Education, Health, and Care (EHC) needs assessments, issue EHC plans, commission appropriate services, and carry out monitoring and annual reviews.
- Coordinate the administration and support for the County Council's panels associated with the EHC assessment and review processes.
- Work alongside another SENA Service Manager responsible for Placements and Tribunal, providing flexibility in managing teams as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience in managing a SENA service or similar, with a robust understanding of the SEND Code of Practice 2014.
- Proven ability to operate effectively within a complex and demanding environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee Team Managers and ensure high standards of service delivery.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a commitment to collaborative working and continuous improvement.
