About the Role:

As an Exam Access Arrangement Assessor here at COPC, your role will encompass various responsibilities aimed at providing the very best of learning experiences to our students. Your role will entail evaluating and determining the appropriate support & accommodations required by students with disabilities or specific learning difficulties during examinations. The role involves conducting assessments to identify students needs, liaising with teachers & support staff, ensuring that the necessary arrangements such as extra time, readers, scribes etc are in place. You will be promoting adherence to the guidelines set by examination boards and regulatory bodies, ultimately facilitating an equitable exam environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering of standardised tests and diagnostic assessments to identify students specific needs
  • Preparation of detailed reports and documentation to support applications for exam access arrangements
  • Providing constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their skills and achieve learning outcomes
  • Monitoring & reviewing of the effectiveness of arrangements and amending where necessary
  • Staying updated with changes in regulations and best practices regarding exam accommodations
  • Represent COPC with the upmost professionalism with every interaction
  • Handling of sensitive information with confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes diversity, equality and respect among all members of the college community.

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining an approachable demeanour to aid a positive first impression and rapport building
  • Customer focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service
  • Problem solving abilities in order to resolve issues independently or collaboratively with colleagues
  • Previous experience in a similar role or a lengthy background within a support services of this nature
  • Level 7 Assessors Qualification is a must
