JOB DESCRIPTION: Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager/ Sales Engineer - Electrical / Electronic Testing Equipment
This is a classic sales, business development and account management role - selling electrical / electronic instrumentation to customers from small businesses to multinational corporations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager/ Sales Engineer - Electrical / Electronic Testing Equipment
- Leveraging existing relationships to increase sales to those clients and competitors of those clients and beyond. Selling to a wide range of sectors from utilities, maintenance, facilities management and contractors to general industrial customers.
- Time will be split between our Watford office and visiting customers across the country.
- Order values vary from a few hundred pounds to several thousand.
- Big ticket sales are the specification of products into larger companies - which you will work on alongside the new UK Sales Manager.
- Most sales go through our distribution channels, but the role is to encourage the ultimate user to buy / specify the products.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Field Sales / Area Sales Manager/ Sales Engineer / Electrical / Electronic Testing Equipment / Account Manager /
Your background will be either:
a) Experienced salesperson from an Electrical / Electronic test and measurement equipment or instrumentation background.
Or
b) A consultative technical salesperson of electrical / electronic equipment / machinery or components.
Either way, you're a driven sales professional with the ability to offer consultative, solution-based sales.
You almost certainly have some sort of electrical / electronic qualification - so you're technically minded and credible in front of engineers and technical managers / directors.
You're able to network through existing accounts and build credibility at a number of levels - selling from front line engineers to purchasing departments of multi-national corporations.
THE COMPANY: We are a well established branded manufacturer of portable / hand held electronic test equipment.
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Area Sales Manager, Sales Manager, Commercial Manager, Project Engineer, Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, Specification Sales, Sales Engineer, Sales Team Leader - Electrical Components, Electronic Components, Electrical Instrumentation, Electrical Equipment, Utilities, Engineering, Facilities Management.
