The Role

As an Executive Recruitment Researcher at Utility People, you'll be a crucial part of our team, tasked with identifying and engaging top-tier talent for executive-level positions. Your role will involve supporting the full recruitment process, where your skills in headhunting, lead identification, and network building will be instrumental to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilise headhunting techniques to identify and approach high-calibre candidates for executive-level positions within the Energy, Water, and Utilities sectors.
  • Research and identify potential leads and opportunities for executive placements through market analysis, industry reports and competitor intelligence.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of C-suite executives, industry leaders and senior professionals within the target sectors.
  • Engage with passive candidates and nurture relationships to understand their career aspirations, skills and preferences.
  • Collaborate closely with the recruitment team to understand client requirements, organisational culture, and strategic objectives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the recruitment team based on market trends, talent mapping and competitor activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions, market insights and client feedback using internal systems.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to enhance candidate engagement, retention and satisfaction.

What you need to succeed

  • Proven experience in executive search, headhunting, or a similar role, preferably within the Energy, Water, or Utilities sectors
  • Strong proficiency in identifying leads, opportunities and potential candidates through market research and competitor analysis.
  • Exceptional networking skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives and industry leaders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with candidates, clients, and colleagues effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • A solid understanding of the recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, and placement processes.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strategic approach to problem-solving and decision-making
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset
