We are currently seeking a Real Estate Associate (energy focussed) for our client based in Bristol. As a Real Estate Associate, you will join our client's UK-wide, award-winning, multi-disciplinary Real Estate team. This team is ranked in the top tier by both Chambers and Legal 500. The Real Estate Energy team has successfully executed over 1,000 deals for developers, investors, and funders in various clean technologies such as onshore wind, offshore wind, biomass, wave, tidal, hydro, solar, energy storage, anaerobic digestion, and energy from waste.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with experts from across our client's organisation, providing tailored advice to each client. This includes engaging with professionals specialising in commercial, construction, planning, environmental, regulatory, and disputes. This comprehensive approach ensures that complex energy projects are viewed from all angles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering Results: Achieving personal objectives, focusing your contributions to support the organisation's overall aims, effectively planning, controlling, and resourcing matters, delegating where appropriate, and monitoring delivery.
  • Growing their People: Actively contributing to the development of those you have responsibility for, establishing your standing as an 'expert' in your chosen area/sector, and identifying and taking advantage of opportunities to broaden your technical/client experience.
  • Developing their Business: Deepening your understanding of client needs and expectations, identifying opportunities to lead CRM activities, building your own network, and cross-referring work when appropriate.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Relevant experience in clean energy-based property transactions
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork and client interactions
  • Proven ability to manage a complex and varied workload
  • Self-motivation and a willingness to learn
  • Qualified Solicitor or equivalent qualification in a common law jurisdiction with a desire to cross-qualify
