Established in 1973, they provide a range of services including geology, geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology, hydrology, and surveying. Their expertise spans multiple sectors such as mining, quarrying, landfill management, surface water & groundwater management, and climate resilience.

They support a diverse range of clients globally, with the team dedicated to providing innovative and sustainable solutions to complex challenges.

Current projects include:

  • Climate Adaptation: engaged in international development projects such as GIS-based flood hazard mapping. This project helps in understanding and mitigating flood risks through advanced mapping technologies.
  • Quarry Development: involved in limestone quarry design and phasing, including tunnel crown stability modelling and crown pillar design. This involves optimising the use of mineral resources while addressing safety and environmental concerns.
  • Water Resources Management: assessing water resources vulnerability to drought and flood risks. This project addresses the challenges posed by climate change and aims to build resilience against extreme weather impacts.

The role

As a Management Accountant at GWP Consultants, you will be responsible for providing financial support and guidance to the business, whilst working closely with the partners. This is a varied role you duties will include:

  • Responsibility for the AR function including approving invoicing, amendments, and credit control
  • Responsibility for the AP function including review, reconciliation and approval of invoices and payment runs
  • Completion of accounts up to trial balance
  • Report and monitor accruals and prepayments
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and expense accounts
  • Finance process and continual improvement
  • Reconciliation of multiple accounts, currencies, and approval of invoices and payment runs
  • Preparation and processing of payroll for employees
