A long established and reputable practice based in Stourbridge are seeking an Audit Senior / Supervisor due to significant client growth.
The practice has recently recruited an Audit Partner and with that they have brought along a large network of clients and contacts. These clients are rich and varied, the great majority of them are local and can be managed remotely, meaning very occasional travel.
The Audit Senior / Supervisor is a crucial position within the developing audit team, primarily responsible for leading and managing all stages from planning through to completion but will also play a key role in the long-term evolution of the audit function, with long-term opportunities to Partner on offer.
This presents an incredible opportunity for a qualified audit professional to make a positive contribution in a growing and developing team, in what is an exciting time for the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Leading audits, managing and delivering on all stages from planning through to completion
- Actively engaging with a portfolio of clients, providing feedback and advise where necessary
- Supporting and guiding junior members in the team, aiding their professional competencies
Requirements:
- A qualified accountant, ACCA or ACA / ICAEW or equivalent with prior experience in financial audits from within an accountancy firm
- Constantly up to date with adaptations in legislation and compliance requirements
- IT skills including Excel and any audit software (CCH, IRIS, CaseWare etc)
- Highly organised with ability to develop and maintain business working relationships
