The main purpose of this role is to support our user testing for the continued support and development of our client's Content Management system.
The role will involve supporting the test manager in day-to-day test activities while also working towards the strategic testing plans working.
This is very much a team focused position working together with our users, product owners and our software suppliers.
What you will do
- Work with product owners, business analysts, and developers to understand requirements and business scenarios to build simple but effective test cases for the UAT testers.
- Plan, design, script, execute, and report on all UAT testing activities.
- Maintain tests scripts in a structured format and update the regression pack alongside testing new functionality.
- Perform the functional, regression, exploratory, smoke and usability testing.
- Defect Tracking and Resolution: Identify, track, and ensure resolution of defects. Verify fixes and retest resolved defects.
- Think from an end user perspective to ensure a high-quality user experience.
- Perform website testing on various browsers and operating systems using Browser stack.
- Update and execute our existing regression automation suite.
- Manage communications between users, developers and the project team.
- Ensure releases are coordinated with the business to ensure full communication of new functionality.
- Demonstrate new functionality and train users when required.
- Provide feedback on test processes and suggest improvements
What you will need
- 2+ years of experience in functional testing, preferably in UAT.
- Solid understanding of manual testing techniques including Functional, Regression, exploratory, usability testing and defect management.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience of working with a range of stakeholders including Software Developers, Project Team members, Subject Matter Experts and Executive Leadership Teams.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, Selenium, Eclipse, Maven, SQL.
- Experience of delivering an end-to-end test service.
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies is desirable.
- Experience of testing UI & CMS functionality is desirable.
- Experience in Accessibility testing is desirable.
- An understanding of Data Protection and GDPR is desirable.
- The ability to work well as a member of a team.
