Are you passionate about procurement and eager to contribute to a leading organisation's mission? We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to join our commercial and procurement team during an exciting period of strategic development. This role is crucial in managing resources effectively and sustainably, ensuring we can fulfil our purpose of making a significant impact on society.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Implement a category management approach across the organisation, particularly within property and facilities management.
  • Develop effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, adapting communication styles to suit different audiences.
  • Support others in building commercial capabilities within the team and wider stakeholders, providing expert advice and developing relationships.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in sourcing projects to deliver best value.
  • Design and deliver commercial strategies, plans, and processes, managing risk and securing value for money.
  • Lead procurement procedures and utilise data and evidence to inform decision-making.
  • Manage commercial supply, including transitioning to new contractual arrangements, applying best practice, legislation, and governance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management.
  • Demonstrable technical skills in relationship building, coaching, risk management, strategy and policy development, procurement process, data and insight, and commercial supply management.
  • Experience within property and facilities management is highly desirable.
