As the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors, the School Receptionist plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the school's daily activities. We are looking for a professional with a warm and welcoming demeanour, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to handle a variety of administrative tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting and assisting students, parents, and visitors with a friendly and professional attitude
- Managing incoming phone calls, emails, and other communications promptly and courteously
- Coordinating appointments and maintaining the school's calendar
- Assisting with student attendance records and reporting
- Supporting administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation
- Ensuring the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times
- Collaborating with school staff to support various events and activities
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably within an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with school management software
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a busy environment
- A proactive and positive attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service
- A DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is essential
