On Site Support Engineer (AV Engineer)
We're seeking an experienced AV Engineer to provide dedicated maintenance and engineering support for audio-visual systems on-site at a client location. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, particularly as you'll be engaging directly with end-users, including senior management. You'll be responsible for identifying risks and troubleshooting in real-time to ensure seamless AV performance across the client's facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular AV equipment checks in meeting rooms, following established procedures.
- Quickly identify and resolve AV and video conferencing issues under time-sensitive conditions.
- Maintain and service AV equipment, managing power-ups and power-downs as needed.
- Develop a proactive maintenance schedule to ensure optimal AV equipment functionality.
- Act as the main point of contact for service requests, coordinating with the client's service desk.
- Foster strong working relationships with clients, identifying and communicating further support or service opportunities to internal teams.
- Ensure effective communication with internal service and support teams regarding client needs.
- Take on additional responsibilities to support the overall AV environment.
Requirements:
- At least three years' experience in AV and video conferencing support, including AMX/Crestron systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with familiarity in Cisco and Polycom configurations.
- CTS qualification preferred, along with knowledge of IT networking fundamentals.
- Excellent communication skills, a client-focused approach, and adaptability in high-pressure scenarios.
- Ability to work autonomously with flexibility around working hours.
