Are you looking for a new challenge with Finance? De La Rue are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join the Finance Team at our Westhoughton site.
We are currently looking for someone to join the very busy Finance team as a Management Accountant. This is a hands on, full time role and based at our Westhoughton site near Bolton.

What will I be doing?
You will providing accurate financial information to enable the decision-making process of the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team as well as the Divisional Finance team through managing periodic reporting, forecasting and budgeting in line with standard Group requirements
Key Activities:
- Prepare budgets / Forecasts by product, including Volumes, Manufacturing standards, Factory Variances, Factory fixed costs, and Capex / Inventory. Challenging site to improve performance and reduce costs at all stages.
- Responsible for monthly management accounts preparations, analysing and explaining variances to budget / forecast.
- FX, Cashflow & Capex Forecasting
- Reconcile Revenue, COGS & Inventory on finance system & MRP & ensure variances are resolved in timely manner.
- Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments, and Journals.
- Prepare closed job analysis information and provide to Divisional Finance teams in a timely manner.
- Support and follow the governance and operational disciplines applicable across the group.
- Monitor and adapt internal financial control procedures as businesses processes evolve.
- Support with external / internal financial auditors
- Support the Finance Leadership Team and site COM, executing the Company and Site strategy for the year.
- Provide subject matter expertise to support effective decision making and to provide input as required to the annual strategic planning cycle
- Support and follow the governance and operational disciplines applicable across the division
What we are looking for:
- Professional finance qualification is essential.
- Strong experience of Cost Accounting (using standard costs / cost models)
- Variance analysis / closed job reporting knowledge and experience
- Experience of accounting in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
- Management accounts experience (Balance sheet, inventory valuation, fixed assets etc)
- Experience of managing financials for Capex projects
- Experience of working with ERP / large scale corporate Finance systems is essential (SAP / BPC experience desirable)
- Proven track record of business improvement and managing change.
- Strong Excel skills
